Suttle Lake Trailfest
Suttle Lake Trailfest is a fall trail running weekend at South Shore Campground, Suttle Lake, Oregon, held October 24-25, 2026. The event stages timed running events on a 3.6 mile loop with about 110 ft of elevation gain per loop.
Event formats include:
- 24-Hour event
- 12-Hour event
- 6-Hour event
Camping at the start/finish site is included and free, and campground space is first come, first served. Because the event takes place in the campground off season, water, electricity, and sewer will be turned off and the established restrooms will be closed. Portable toilets will be available beginning Friday near the boat ramp. Food is provided at the event.
Registration fees vary by event and by date. Shirt size is guaranteed for registrations completed by September 20. Each participant receives a custom finisher medal. The top three female, male, and non-binary finishers in each race will receive prizes from sponsors. The event supports a local beneficiary.
Other notes: trails remain open to other users during the event, dogs are not permitted to run in the races, and the event is cupless so participants should bring a cup or bottle for aid station refills.
Accommodations include Suttle Lake Lodge and nearby lodging in Sisters, Camp Sherman, Bend, and Redmond. Nearest major airports are Redmond and Portland. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
