Hoodoo Challenge: Run To The Top : July 25, 2026
The Hoodoo Challenge is a trail running event organized by the Sisters Kiwanis Community Service Foundation. The event includes a half marathon and a 5K that run on forested trails around the Hoodoo area and include viewpoints from the top of Potato Hill. The half marathon follows scenic forest trails to the summit and returns down the mountain for a hosted lunch and awards ceremony at the Hoodoo Lodge parking area. The 5K starts at the Hoodoo parking lot and finishes near the top, along a trail with scenic views.
Registration is limited to 200 slots for the 5K and 200 slots for the half marathon. Same-day registration is not available. The first 50 registrants receive a Hoodoo Challenge neck gaiter. Packet pickup is provided on race day. Overnight parking at Hoodoo is allowed for racers; a porta potty will be available. Well behaved dogs on leash are permitted on course. Lunch after the race is included in registration and will include vegetarian options. Event merchandise and race gear can be ordered during registration; a small supply may be available on race day. Race proceeds support local children and families; last year $7,500 from the race helped local families.
