The Hoodoo Challenge: Run To The Top
The Hoodoo Challenge is a trail running event held on Saturday, July 25, 2026. It offers a half marathon and a 5K that use forested trails around the Hoodoo area and include summit views from Potato Hill. After the half marathon, runners return down the mountain for a hosted lunch and an awards ceremony in the Hoodoo Lodge parking area.
Registration is limited to 200 slots for the 5K and 200 slots for the half marathon. The first 50 registrations receive a Hoodoo Challenge neck gaiter. Same-day registration is not available. Packet pickup occurs on race day at the Hoodoo parking lot. Overnight parking at the Hoodoo site is allowed and a porta potty is provided.
Additional race details: dogs are allowed if well behaved and on leash; lunch is included in registration and will include vegetarian options; event apparel and gear can be ordered during registration with only a limited supply available on race day. Proceeds from the race are used to help local kids and families; the prior year distribution included $7,500 to local families.
