Participants may race solo or in optional teams of two or three. Team scoring uses a synchronized timed format: all team members compete simultaneously and the total team time determines placement. Individual awards are given in 10-year age groups through 70+, plus a Non-Binary category. There are finisher and age-group awards and an equal podium policy. The event provides aid stations with Hammer Nutrition products and local food items, and includes provisions such as menstrual products at aid stations and a pregnancy/postpartum policy.
