Bend Dirt Fest Half Marathon
The Bend Dirt Fest Half Marathon is part of a multi-discipline endurance event held in Bend, Oregon. The trail run is a 13.1-mile loop that starts and finishes at the Athletic Club of Bend. This event is hosted alongside mountain bike and gravel cycling races as part of a larger celebration of outdoor sports.
The course features a west side loop utilizing a variety of terrain. Approximately 60% of the route is on dirt, which can vary between red hero cinder and fine moon dust depending on current environmental conditions. The terrain includes a paved flat portion at the start and finish, as well as a section of technical trail. Portions of the singletrack run through filtered shade, while other parts of the course are exposed to full sun.
Participants have the option to compete as solo runners or as part of a three-person team. In the team category, each member participates in a different discipline—trail running, mountain biking (39 miles), or gravel cycling (54 miles)—with the total combined time determining the team standing.
