Oregon Cascades 100
The Oregon Cascades event features point-to-point trail races through Central Oregon, connecting the towns of Bend and Sisters. The courses utilize a variety of terrain, primarily consisting of 78% single-track trails, complemented by 20% gravel or dirt roads and 2% pavement.
Participants can choose from two distances:
- 100 miles: A Western States qualifier with approximately 10,900 feet of elevation gain and 11,400 feet of loss.
- 50 miles: A route starting at Swampy Lakes Sno Park with 4,000 feet of elevation gain and 6,500 feet of loss.
The 100 mile course begins at Pacific Crest Middle School in Bend, featuring smooth tracks near Mount Bachelor before transitioning into more rugged terrain toward the finish at Sisters Middle School. This distance includes 12 full aid stations and has a total time limit of 32 hours, 1 minute, and 18 seconds.
The 50 mile race includes 6 full aid stations along its path to Sisters. For logistics, a shuttle service is available to transport runners from the finish line in Sisters to the start locations. Registration includes a post-race meal, live splits, and finisher awards such as custom buckles for the 100 mile distance. Mandatory bib pick-up and drop-bag submission take place the day before the race at Sisters Middle School Gym. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
