The West Rock Winter Fat Ass Extravaganza
This is an eight-hour loop event held in Hamden, CT at Lake Wintergreen. Participants run repeated 1.6 mile loops for the duration. Entry fee is $35 and the field is limited to 50 runners. Registration closes on Sat, Dec 27 at 11:59 PM ET. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
Course and logistics
The loop has about 65 feet of elevation gain. Participants will tally their completed loops on a central board. One aid station will be available; the event also offers pizza and a variety of snacks and drinks, including water, electrolytes, soup or grilled cheese or quesadillas, Coke, Sprite, candy, chips, pretzels and fruit.
