The West Rock Winter Fat Ass Extravaganza

This is an eight-hour loop event held in Hamden, CT at Lake Wintergreen. Participants run repeated 1.6 mile loops for the duration. Entry fee is $35 and the field is limited to 50 runners. Registration closes on Sat, Dec 27 at 11:59 PM ET. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation and the American Cancer Society.

Course and logistics

The loop has about 65 feet of elevation gain. Participants will tally their completed loops on a central board. One aid station will be available; the event also offers pizza and a variety of snacks and drinks, including water, electrolytes, soup or grilled cheese or quesadillas, Coke, Sprite, candy, chips, pretzels and fruit. Runners may choose to support themselves instead of using event provisions. The event is scheduled to run regardless of rain or snow.
