Rails to Trails 5K - East Hampton

Rails to Trails is a point to point 5K road race held in East Hampton, Connecticut on July 10, 2026. The course begins at the Connecticut Draft Horse Rescue. The event base is at Center School, 7 Summit Street, East Hampton.

Parking for participants is available around the fairgrounds; there is no parking at the starting line. Buses will transport runners from Center School to the starting area. The last shuttle from Center School departs at 6:35 PM.

Bib pick-up and on-site registration take place in the Center School gym. Scheduled pickup times are Thursday 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM and Friday 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

Registration for the 5K opens March 19, 2026 and closes July 9, 2026. The listed registration fee is $25. Registrations received by June 22 are guaranteed a shirt.

An award ceremony will follow the race on the main stage. Awards include top male and top female overall and male and female awards in the following age groups: 14 and under; 15 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 to 69; 70 to 79; and 80 and over. A weekly 5K cross-country trail series at Worthington Winery in Somers, Connecticut, held Wednesdays from June 3 to July 1, 2026. The course runs through backwoods and vineyard areas with views of ponds and a covered bridge.

A free community trail event in Farmington offering shoe demos and short runs on local trails. Options include about 5 km, 1.7 mile, and 1 mile routes, with snacks and drinks afterwards.

A 5K trail and obstacle run on the 400 acre campus of Gaylord Specialty Healthcare in Wallingford CT, featuring 24 obstacles and a festival area with vendors, live music, and food trucks, supporting the Gaylord Sports Association.
