Run for The Hills

Run for The Hills is a 4th annual trail 5K held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Oswegatchie Hills Nature Preserve in Niantic, CT. The event follows hiking trails around the preserve and passes by Clark Pond. Runners and hikers should expect exposed rocks and roots on the route.

Event details

Registration is online only. Entry fees are $25 until August 16, then $30 online; day-of cash registration is $35. All registrants aged 21 and older receive a coupon redeemable at the Niantic Public House. Proceeds support maintenance of the Oswegatchie Hills Nature Preserve.

There is ample parking adjacent to the preserve, with overflow parking at East Lyme Town Hall, 108 Pennsylvania Ave., Niantic. The race will be professionally timed by SNERRO, LLC. Awards include overall first place male and female and top three men and women in each age group: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
