The Run for the Hills is a trail event held at the Oswegatchie Hills Nature Preserve in Niantic, Connecticut. Now in its fifth year, the event features a course that follows hiking trails around the perimeter of the preserve. Participants will run past Clark Pond and through various natural scenery. The terrain includes typical trail features such as exposed rocks and roots.

The event offers the following distance:

Both runners and hikers are welcome to participate and navigate the trails of the preserve. The event is professionally timed, and an awards ceremony is held following the activity. Awards are presented to the first place male and female finishers overall, as well as the top three male and female finishers in various age groups ranging from 19 and under to 70 and over.

Refreshments are provided at the nature preserve after the finish. Parking is available adjacent to the preserve, with additional overflow parking located at the East Lyme Town Hall on Pennsylvania Avenue.
