Shenipsit Striders Summer Fatass
The Shenipsit Striders Summer Fatass is an eight hour running event on August 15, 2026, held at Crandall's Pavilion in Tolland, Connecticut (120 Cider Mill Road). The event is organized by the Shenipsit Striders trail running club.
Participants run repeated loops on a marked trail course of roughly 5K, with the start and finish located at the pavilion. Runners may complete as many or as few loops as they choose during the eight hour period. A GPX course and route files are provided by the organizer.
The event includes food and community elements. Pancakes are provided in the morning, and burgers, hot dogs, and drinks are available during the day. The gathering is organized as a potluck, with an organizer-managed sign up for snacks, desserts, and dishes. Entry to the event is free; a donation jar will be available.
The Shenipsit Striders are a nonprofit trail running club founded in 1975.
