Brimfield Wine Run 5K
The event is a chip-timed 5K run/walk held at Brimfield Winery, 35 Main St., Brimfield, MA. The course is a two-lap cross country style route, mostly on grass with some areas of uneven footing and sections with challenging hills. Participants may walk; those who stop after one lap can be recorded in a 1.5 mile division.
Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, and a race bib. Results are posted online and registrants receive a pour of wine; minors receive a discounted registration and do not receive a wine glass or a glass of wine. Packet pickup is held the day of the event and begins one hour before the event.
The event offers age group awards for the top three finishers in each 10-year category, with categories spanning 19 and under through 80 and over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards; awards are available for pickup on the day of the event only.
Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate free and do not need to register. Dogs are not permitted on site because the venue is a produce and vegetable farm and USDA rules apply. The local charity partner is the Brimfield Police Department.
