Old Goat Track Club XC Classic

The Old Goat Track Club XC Classic is a 5K cross country race held at Waters Farm, 53 Waters Road, Sutton, Massachusetts, on August 23, 2026. The event is USATF New England XC Grand Prix Race number one and is part of the USATF New England All Terrain Series.

There are separate women's open and men's open 5K races. Pre registration is $35 plus a small transaction fee. Day of registration is available in the Darling Barn by paper application and costs $40. Cash and Venmo are accepted for day of registration. Runners who are unattached should indicate that status and those competing in the USATF series should confirm their team affiliation prior to race day.

The course runs around fields at Waters Farm, follows the same path as the previous year, briefly crosses pavement, and is described as spike friendly. Free parking is available on site; Waters Road is the single entry and exit to the farm and two lot options will be signed. One lot will have restricted entry and exit during races to prioritize safety. Volunteers will staff exits to manage traffic and assist if an emergency requires leaving.

There is no water fountain on site. Water and bananas will be available at the finish. Portable bathrooms will be on site and one handicapped accessible portable bathroom will be located at the Darling Barn. A designated team tent area will be provided by the starting line.

A brief awards ceremony will follow the completion of the men's race. Awards include top three men and women, top teams for men and women, individual masters winners for men and women, and top masters teams. The USATF series offers commemorative awards for participants who attend at least four races and prize money for top individuals in open and masters divisions for both men and women.
