The Old Goat Track Club XC Classic is scheduled for Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Waters Farm in Sutton, MA. This is the fourth running of the event. It is part of USATF New England competition as a stop on the regional XC Grand Prix and the All Terrain Runner Series. The program includes the following race distances:

  • Women's Open - 5K
  • Men's Open - 5K

The course is a 5K cross-country loop around fields at Waters Farm. It briefly crosses pavement and is described as spike friendly. The course follows the same path as the previous year.

Logistics and facilities

Pre-registration fee is $35 plus a transaction fee. Day-of registration is $40 and will be handled by paper application in the Darling Barn; cash and Venmo are accepted. Parking is free on site with two designated lots; one lot will have restricted entry and exit during race periods. Volunteers will assist with traffic and safety.

There is no water fountain on site. Water and bananas will be provided for runners at the finish. Bathroom facilities include five portable toilets and one handicapped accessible portable toilet at the Darling Barn. A designated team tent area is available by the starting line.

Awards will be presented for top individual and team finishers across open and masters categories. An after party is planned at the Millbury Old Time Inn, about 12 minutes from the course; the venue is cash only and allows outside food. Trail runs nearby

Tackle the TARCtic Frozen Yeti at Hale Education in Westwood MA on Feb 7 and 8 2026 with a 30 hour challenge or a 15 mile looped race. Expect well marked winter trails, regular aid and proceeds supporting land conservation.

The F.I.T. 'Rock Trail Race will take place in Cumberland on Saturday 14 March 2026.

Run scenic singletrack loops around ponds and woodlands at Hale Education in Westwood, with a 6 hour endurance option or a 3.5 mile loop. Bring your own bottle for this cupless event and enjoy a laid back aid station at the start.

Test your trail skills on the Northern Nipmuck Trail Race, a rugged 16 mile out and back through Yale Myers Forest and Boston Hollow with technical terrain and serious climbing. Limited to 100 entrants, proceeds support local trails.
