TARC Summer Classic - Noon Hill Reservation, Medfield, MA

Trail Animals Running Club stages the TARC Summer Classic on a roughly 10 mile undulating loop at Noon Hill and Shattuck Reservation in Medfield, Massachusetts. The loop begins and ends at Holt Pond and is almost entirely forested gravel or singletrack, with a short section of double track and a very brief road segment.

Distances:

  • 10 miles
  • 50K
  • 40 miles

The course winds along the Charles River and includes a scenic vista on top of Noon Hill. Runners should expect many roots and rocks; the terrain is not highly technical but requires attention. Total elevation gain per 10 mile loop is approximately 1,000 feet and includes the climb to the Noon Hill viewpoint. 50K entrants run an additional short loop around Holt Pond at the start to reach the required 31 miles.

There is a mandatory trail briefing for participants and bib pickup before each race. Time limits apply: participants have up to 11 hours to finish the ultra distances and up to 4 hours for the 10 mile event. Event proceeds benefit The Trustees of Reservations.
