Forbidden Forest is a timed trail ultra held at Roosevelt Forest in Stratford, CT (700 Peters Lane). The event gives entrants up to 30 hours to complete as many miles as they wish on a repeated loop course. Entry is limited to a small field (25/50 TBD participants). Registration is final; there are no refunds, bib transfers, or race deferrals. Participants must be at least 18 years old or have a parental/guardian signed waiver.

Course, aid and rules

The course is an irregular loop of 2.23 miles per lap with a maximum elevation gain of 201 feet per loop. Terrain includes roots, rocks, rolling hills and one larger hill referred to as "OMG." The route will be marked with flags and signs. The pavilion serves as the sole aid station, providing hydration, GU, snacks, and scheduled food items including sandwiches and pizza. Overnight camping is not allowed per town ordinance. Parking is limited; larger vehicles are directed to a side lot and RVs are not permitted. Earbuds with music and hiking poles are permitted. One pacer is allowed per runner at a time; pacers must register and sign a waiver. Awards include medallions and finisher buckles; completing 45 loops within 30 hours earns the finisher buckle and 100-mile achievement is recognized when reached.
