NSRF Great Pumpkin Dash Trail 5K
The Great Pumpkin Dash Trail 5K is a trail run/walk held on October 11, 2026 at Blydenburgh County Park in Smithtown, New York. The event includes an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option with a virtual participation window from October 11 to October 18. There is also a free kiddie dash held before the main race. The event is held rain or shine.
The course is scenic and shaded, composed of a mix of dirt roads and hard-packed trails with a few sandy spots. The trails are described as not overly technical; strollers and wagons are not permitted. Bathrooms are located within a few minutes' walk of the finish line. Hydration is provided at the finish and there is an informal bag-check area in the staging zone.
Participants receive a Great Pumpkin Dash Trail tee. Refreshments at the finish are provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Bib mailing is available for an extra fee if the participant registers at least ten days before the event; virtual participants receive mailed items starting the Monday before the event period.
