Tesla Hertz Run
The Tesla Hertz Run is a multi-day trail event held October 9 to 12, 2026 in Rocky Point, NY, organized by Happily Running. The event uses a single 10.48 mile loop through the Long Island pine barrens that participants repeat to reach their chosen distance. The course is almost entirely trail, with minimal interaction with the outside world.
All distances share the same event cut-off and the same course access window across the weekend. The event enforces one strict rule: whatever distance a participant starts must be completed or the result is recorded as a DNF; drop-downs are not permitted.
Two staffed aid stations are located on the loop, at the start/finish and roughly halfway. On-course provisions include Skratch Labs products, PB&J, pretzels, chips, candy, fruit, broth and pierogies later in the day, and hot food such as pizza, burgers and hot dogs where available. Crews are allowed at both aid stations, though access at one station may be limited depending on permits and event headcount.
Pacer and crew policies require pacers to wear pacer bracelets and sign a waiver; pacers are allowed after 12 hours into a race or during dark hours, whichever comes first. Volunteer opportunities are available and earn race credit. The event offers deferral credits with restrictions and no cash refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
