Course and support
The course uses a 10.48 mile loop set mainly in the Long Island pine barrens, with limited interaction with roads or outside development. There are two aid stations: the start/finish aid station named North Country, and a second aid station called Whiskey Girl located just over 5.5 miles into the loop. Volunteers staff the aid stations and provide typical ultra running foods such as PB&J, pretzels, chips, candy, fruit, broth, and perogies; additional items like pizza, burgers, or hot dogs may be offered later in the event. Pacers are allowed and organizers ask to be informed if a pacer will be used. Crews are allowed at both aid stations, though restrictions may apply depending on permits and field size. Refunds are offered up to six months before the race; deferrals up to 30 days before; after that no refunds or deferrals are available.
