Tesla Hertz Run
Rocky Point, United States • 9-12 Oct 2026
Tesla Hertz Run : Rocky Point, NY
The event takes place over four days and nights on Long Island in the Rocky Point pine barrens. The course is a single 10.48 mile loop that participants repeat to reach their chosen distance, which ranges from 10 miles up to 150 miles. The terrain is almost entirely trail, described as 99.8 percent trail, with minimal interaction with roads or the outside world.
There are two stocked aid stations on the loop. The Start/Finish aid station is at mile 0 and 10.48, and a second station is at mile 5.5. Aid offerings include Skratch Labs products, PB&J, pretzels, chips, candy, fruit, broth and pierogies later in the day, and hot food such as pizza, burgers, and hot dogs. Crews are permitted at both aid stations, though access to one station may be restricted for some distances depending on permits and headcount.
Pacers must wear pacer bracelets and sign a waiver; pacers are allowed after 12 hours into a race or during the dark hours, whichever comes first. One strict rule applies: entrants must complete the race distance they start or receive a DNF; drop-downs are not allowed. A grocery store is nearby and the organizer can retrieve requested items for runners.
Volunteer roles cover aid stations, course marshals, kitchen, parking, packet pickup, and sweeping. No cash refunds are offered; deferral credits are available up to eight weeks before the event and are valid for 365 days, with exceptions for military deployment and pregnancy.
