Tesla Hertz Run - Rocky Point, NY

Tesla Hertz Run is a multi-day trail event held in the Rocky Point pine barrens on Long Island. The course is a single 10.48 mile loop that participants repeat to complete their chosen distance, with options that range from shorter runs up to 150 miles. The route is mostly off-road, reported as 99.8% trail and offering limited interaction with the outside world.

Organizers provide two stocked aid stations on the loop, with crew access allowed at both locations. On-course fuel includes Skratch Labs products plus common ultra foods such as PB&J, pretzels, chips, candy, fruit, broth, pierogies, pizza, burgers, and hot dogs; special requests may be accommodated when possible. A nearby grocery store can assist with runner needs.

Pacers and crew are permitted under the event rules. Pacers must wear pacer bracelets and sign a waiver; specific pacing restrictions apply and the event requires 150 mile entrants to complete at least one lap before using a pacer. Volunteer roles cover aid stations, course marshals, kitchen, parking, packet pickup, and sweeping; volunteer hours can earn race credit for future Happily Running events.

The event policy states there are no cash refunds and offers deferral credits up to eight weeks before the race, valid for 365 days, with exceptions for military deployment and pregnancy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
