Tesla Hertz Run

Tesla Hertz Run is a multi-distance trail event held in Rocky Point, NY from October 9 to October 12, 2026. The event stages several ultra and shorter races on a single 10.48 mile loop that entrants repeat to complete their chosen distance.

Distances offered include:

  • 150 mile
  • 100 mile
  • 100 km
  • 50 mile
  • 50 km
  • 10 mile

The loop is almost entirely trail surface, described as 99.9 percent trail, and includes two aid stations and two road crossings. The aid stations are located at the start/finish area named North Country and at just over 5.5 miles named Whiskey Girl. Both aid stations have portable toilets and provide a range of food items commonly found at ultras, including PB and J, pretzels, chips, candy, fruit, broth, and perogies; additional items may appear later in the day. Organizers state they try to accommodate vegan and gluten free requests. Course marking uses pink and reflective flagging and some arrows at tricky spots.

Race rules note that a runner must complete the distance they start or be recorded as DNF, and the intended race distance can be changed up until the race start. The event offers a refund policy and deferral windows that apply well before race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
