BROOKHAVEN TRAIL HALF MARATHON and 5 MILE
The event takes place on November 15, 2026, at Brookhaven State Park near the entrance off William Floyd Parkway in Wading River, NY 11792. The course runs through protected woodlands in Suffolk County and includes varied trail conditions such as single track, fire trails, sandy sections, and areas near ponds.

- 5 Miles 5 Mile race
Day-of registration and check-in open on site at 7:30; registration and check-in are handled at a large red tent and accept cash or card. Registration opens January 7, 2026, and closes November 14, 2026. Professional timing is provided by Strong Island Running Club and results are published online after the event.
Awards for the half marathon include a $150 cash prize to the top male and female overall winners, awards to the top three male and female finishers overall, and awards to the top three males and females in expanded age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+. Five mile participants are eligible for age group awards.
Amenities include high quality dry-fit long sleeve t-shirts for pre-registered participants (registration cutoff listed as November 4 at midnight for shirt eligibility), a custom wood finisher medal for half marathon finishers, limited extra shirts available on race day, post-race refreshments, and an awards ceremony.
