Trails are not groomed and include frequent hills, roots, sand, and similar natural surfaces. Expect about 440 ft of elevation gain per loop (roughly 100 ft per mile).

Parking includes a small number of reserved campsites at Crooked Lake Campground on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additional parking is available alongside Silver Hill Rd, about a quarter mile from the start. Timing is informal; the event is not advertised as having chip timing or formal race services.
