Event Details
The Miles at the Moose event takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Moose Ridge Golf Course in South Lyon, Michigan. The event supports the Rogel Cancer Center Breast Cancer Program.
Available Races
Two race distances are offered:
- 1K Kids Run
- 5K Run/Walk
Registration includes a commemorative hat and a finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three finishers in the 5K.
Registration and Fees
Online pre-registration is available through October 9. Race day registration opens on-site. Fees are tiered:
- 5K: $45 for early registration (by September 1, 2026); $50 for general registration.
- 1K Kids Run: $25 for early registration (by September 1, 2026); $30 for general registration.
For registrations after September 10, hats and medals are not guaranteed on race day and may be mailed in late November.
Course and Venue
The course goes through the golf course's fairways and cart paths, featuring rolling hills and expansive views. Parking is available in front of the clubhouse and along the driving range.
Additional Information
Packet pickup is available on race day. Post-race refreshments include donuts and cider. Strollers are allowed on the course, but dogs are not permitted. There is no strict age limit for the 1K, though it is typically for ages 2-10. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
