Pines to Vines Trail Race

The Pines to Vines Trail Race is a point-to-point trail running event through the Michigan wilderness along the Waterloo-Pinckney Trail. Participants travel west across a varied landscape that includes swamps, meadows, lakes, and forests. The course begins at Silver Lake in the Pinckney Recreation Area and concludes on a dirt road leading to Sandhill Crane Vineyards for a finish party.

The event offers two primary distances for individual participants:

  • 55 km individual trail race
  • 30 km individual trail race

Individual runners have access to fully stocked aid stations located throughout the course. Participants in the individual categories are eligible for overall and age group awards.

In addition to the individual distances, the event includes a relay option. Relay teams can consist of any number of members. While relay teams are not eligible for competitive awards, all team members receive finisher medals and access to the post-race festivities. The finish area at the vineyard hosts a celebration featuring beverages in a backyard setting. All registered runners receive a finisher's medal and entry to the post-race party as part of their registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
