The first aid station provides fluids only; the middle four offer gels, salty snacks, sweet snacks, and fluids; the final aid station is a self-serve water station. 55K runners may use a drop bag at Aid 3 (Discovery Center, mile 14.5).

Time limits are ten hours for the 55K and 8.5 hours for the 30K. Runners must meet intermediate cutoffs, including leaving Aid Station 4 by 1:40 PM and Aid Station 5 by 2:51 PM. Pacers are not permitted.

Parking for the finish and shuttle loading is in a large field adjacent to Sandhill Crane Vineyard. Vehicles entering the starting areas require a Michigan DNR Recreation Passport. The finish includes a backyard beer and post-race gathering at Sandhill Crane Vineyards; beer is available for participants and volunteers aged 21 and older. Every finisher receives a custom finisher medal; individual awards are given to the top three men and women and three-deep age-group awards in five-year categories.
