Veterans' Honor Run: 22 Hours of Tribute
This event is a 22 hour ultra held in Canton, Michigan, organized to raise awareness about veteran suicide and to fund local and national veteran-support organizations. It is the fifth annual edition and benefits Guitars for Vets, Therapeutic Riding Inc., and Leashes of Valor. Participants may take part in person or virtually.
In-person participants loop on a paved course at Heritage Park. The loop is roughly 1 mile, mostly flat, and has been redesigned for 2026 to remove bridges for increased safety and accessibility. The route passes near parking areas for easy access to vehicles. Runners and walkers may take breaks and resume as needed during the 22 hours. The on-site event will be chip-timed. Virtual participants complete distance at their chosen location and must submit tracking data by November 10 for official credit.
Event registrations include a Sport-Tek CamoHex t-shirt and a Sport water bottle; shirts cannot be guaranteed for registrations after October 15. Packet pickup begins Saturday morning and continues through the event. The aid station provides hot and cold food and drinks, and heated bathrooms are located adjacent to the aid station and the start/finish area. The event encourages reusable bottles, allows tents in designated grass areas, permits pacers after dark or once a runner reaches the halfway mark, and offers a crew pass option for support personnel. Veterans may register free using the coupon code VETERAN. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
