Crooked Loops Trail Run

The Crooked Loops Trail Run takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Independence Oaks in Clarkston, Michigan. The event is based at 9501 Sashabaw Rd, Clarkston, MI 48348. Runners and walkers use wood chip trails and hardwood forest paths through the park in October, when fall colors are at their peak. All races begin and end at the same location.

Course and distances

  • 2.5 Mile - Single circuit around Crooked Lake, with rolling hills.
  • 5.5 Mile - Completes a second lap around the lake and branches onto Rock Ridge Trail.
  • 8.5 Mile - Includes a third lap and continues onto Spring Lake Trail.
