The Campfire 5K takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Skyline Camp and Retreat Center in Almont, Michigan. The event includes these distances:

  • 5K
  • 1 Mile

Entry fees listed are $30 for the 5K and $20 for the 1 mile. Prices increase after September 23 and September 24, 2026, respectively. This is the second annual running of the Campfire 5K.

Course, access and race services

Both courses run on private property and use wooded trails, fields, and a private dirt road; no public roads are part of the event. The routes include steep inclines and declines and natural trail obstructions such as rocks and roots. Strollers, wheelchairs, and walkers are permitted at participants' own risk. Dogs are not allowed.

The event is chip-timed with timing services provided by Rotpac Racing. Included for participants are a finisher's medal, post-race banana and water, and a post-race s'more. Race t-shirts are guaranteed only for those who register before September 22. Awards will be given for 1st–3rd place male and female in the 5K and 1st place male and female in the 1 mile.
