The Conquer - Dawsonville, GA

The Conquer is a backyard ultra held at Amicalola Falls State Park in Dawsonville, Georgia on December 5, 2026. The event uses a repeating loop format where each runner has one hour to complete the course and then begins the next loop; the effort continues until a single runner remains.

The course is a roughly 3.6 mile loop with about 1,025 feet of elevation change. The route starts near the top of the falls, follows the East Ridge trail down to the lower parking area, picks up the Mountain Laurel trail, and returns via the AT Approach trail, which includes 605 steps back to the top.

Prizes and achievement awards are part of the event structure. For 2026 the grand prize is cash awards of $1,000 to the last man and $1,000 to the last woman standing. Additional awards include a Marathon Challenge for completing eight loops, a 24-Hour Challenge for completing 24 loops, and an Everest Challenge for completing 29 loops. If the event exceeds the standing record of 36 loops, the final runner receives an extra $1,000. Participants who do not win receive the event’s Did Not Win medals.

Logistics and policies include a required printed and signed waiver at check-in, no refunds with entry transfers allowed up to 15 days before the event, and a prohibition on pacers while support crews may provide help at the finish area.
