A Stroll in the Park : Canton, GA
A Stroll in the Park is an endurance running event held October 3, 2026 at Boling Park, 1200 Marietta Hwy, Canton, GA. The event offers two timed formats, an eight-hour option and a twelve-hour option, during which participants complete repeated laps on a measured loop to accumulate total mileage.
The course is an approximately one-mile crushed gravel loop with a grass shoulder. The surface is described as soft and free of rocks and roots; only complete laps count toward final mileage. Wet areas are possible in rain or snow. Course and distance charts for major marks such as half-marathon, marathon, and 50K will be available at the event.
There will be one aid station supplying drinks, cold and hot food, cookies, candy, pizza and soup later in the day, and some vegetarian items. Ample parking near the course allows runners to set up chairs, small tables, and other self-support items. Packet pick-up is located at the park near the path; the park provides toilets, shaded areas, and parking. There are no lights along the path, so a headlamp may be useful during low-light conditions.
Laps will be counted by RFI technology with manual counting as backup, and progress can be tracked on-screen. Completion awards will be given to each 8-hour and 12-hour runner. Registration deadlines affect shirt eligibility and other logistics. No refunds, transfers, rollovers, or deferments are permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
