The Bull Mountain Epic takes place on October 3, 2026, in Dahlonega, Georgia. The event is organized by DUMAssEvents and uses the Jake and Bull Mountain Trail System. Registration closes on October 2 at 11:59 PM ET.
Distances:
- 50K three loops of about 10 miles each, 5000 feet total elevation gain
- Half Marathon one loop up and over Bull Mountain plus extra double track
The trail system is made of three different loops, each roughly 10 miles long. Fifty kilometer entrants complete all three loops; half marathon entrants complete a single loop with some additional double track. After each loop runners pass the main aid station and the start/finish area.
Terrain includes mostly runnable single track with some technical sections, waterfalls, multiple stream crossings, rocky climbs and fast descents. The course description notes areas of forest service road to the Bull Mountain parking lot with large ruts and holes that can be difficult for low clearance vehicles.
There are three aid stations stocked with vegetarian friendly options such as soups and fruits, some hot foods served in the evening, standard aid station items, and volunteer specialties available until the last finisher. The event enforces a 12 hour cut-off. Pacers are not allowed. Awards go to the top three female and top three male finishers in each event.
