Course, entry and awards

The course uses the Road Atlanta trail system and is open to the public only on race day; pre-running is not allowed. Runners start in an open field then move into woods on single- and double-track trails with rolling hills, rocks, and roots. The 4.55-mile racers complete one lap and the 9.10-mile racers complete two laps, with the course run counter clockwise. Organizers note that GPS units measured the long course at 8.40 miles and the short course at 4.25 miles, while a calibrated bicycle computer measured the courses at 9.10 and 4.55 miles respectively.

  • 9.10 miles: through September 6 $45; Sept 7-17 $50; race day $55. Shirts for 2026 are a super-soft tri blend; shirts are not guaranteed for late or race day registration. Medals and prizes are planned for overall and masters top three male and female finishers and top three male and female in each age group; winners must be present to receive medals. Walkers may participate but must maintain about a 16 minute per mile pace or faster to receive an official time.
