Course, participants and amenities

Both the 5K and the 1 mile fun run take place in sunflower fields. The course has some uneven terrain, and the 5K includes one climb at the halfway point. The event is open to runners and walkers; leashed pets are allowed on the property but may not participate in the run. All registered participants receive continental style breakfast snacks and coffee, a finisher gift upon completion, and a Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit. An event t-shirt is available for those registered by October 4. Organizers note sunflowers are not guaranteed and the run will proceed regardless; over a million sunflowers are planned across more than 30 acres.
