Cobbler Hill Race 2026

The Cobbler Hill Race was rescheduled to 26 July 2026. Organisers contacted participants by email and planned entries for the new date.

Registration is at the rear of the Ardgartan Hotel; runners should remove hill shoes when entering the building. There will be parking marshals at the venue. Toilets and the hotel bar are available on site. Public transport options include buses 926 and 976 to the Ardgartan Visitor Centre and the train station at Arrochar & Tarbet, about 4.1 miles from the hotel.

The route is an upland hill race of 6 km with about 730 m of ascent. The start lies approximately 3 km from the hotel and involves a short walk on a forest track. The course follows the old path to Checkpoint 1, then along An t-Sron to Checkpoint 2 by the Central Peak, and returns by the same route. The whole route will be marked with flags and painted posts where necessary. All checkpoints are mandatory. Marshals are members of Mountain Rescue and will be placed on the hill.

Safety and kit requirements include carrying full waterproof body cover; spot checks will be made at the start line. The minimum age for competitors is 18. Prize giving will be held after the race at the Ardgartan Hotel. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
