Cobbler Hill Race 2026

The Cobbler Hill Race takes place on 26 July 2026. Entry and race-day registration are at the Ardgartan Hotel, with registration located at the rear of the hotel. Competitors should allow time to walk from the car park to registration and then to the start, which is about 3 km from the hotel and reached by a forest track; walking time to the start is approximately 30 minutes.

The course is 6 km in length with 730 m of climb. The route follows an old path to Checkpoint 1, continues along An t-Sron to Checkpoint 2 by the central peak, and returns by the same line. All checkpoints are mandatory. The route is marked with flags and painted posts in places, and marshals who are members of Mountain Rescue will be positioned on the hill.

Mandatory kit requirements include carrying full waterproof body cover; spot checks may be carried out at the start line. Minimum age for competitors is 18. Parking marshals will manage arrival and parking. Toilets and a bar are available at the hotel. Bus services (926 and 976) serve Ardgarten Visitor Center and Arrochar and Tarbet train station is about 4.1 miles from the hotel.

Prize giving is held after the race at the hotel. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
