Arundel & SDW Winter Trails 2026 is a point-to-point trail running event organised by BigFeat Events on 18 January 2026. The event offers two off-road distances on the South Downs Way and finishes in the town of Arundel, near Arundel Castle. Canicross entries are not accepted.

Course and distances

Both courses start near Heyshott and follow the South Downs Way toward Arundel. The routes are fully marked and off road.

The 15 Mile route drops off the South Downs Way to run along the River Arun into the finish area. The marathon continues on the South Downs Way, includes river sections, fields and hills, and crosses a Gurkha Suspension bridge before joining the River Arun toward the finish.

Entry, kit and logistics

Race bibs are collected at BigFeat HQ at Heyshott Village Hall on the morning of the event. Coaches run from the Arundel finish car park to the start for a transport fee of £10; there is no car parking at the start and vehicles should be parked in the pay-and-display car park at Arundel Lido. A bag drop is available at each start and bags are moved to the finish. Mandatory kit includes at least 500 ml of fluid, a waterproof jacket, gloves and a hat. Runners are advised to download the GPX file for the route. Cut-off times: Marathon 7 hours, 15 Mile 4 hours. Trees Not Tees planting is offered as an alternative to a finisher medal.
