The course features a unique route along the hard sand at low tide, navigating 43 groynes—most with wide gaps, while 14 require participants to splash through ankle-deep water, with two potentially waist-deep sections supervised by marshals. The event emphasizes enjoyment over competition and supports Aspire Ryde, a local community hub.
