WRNL 3 - Colden Common is the third event in the Wessex Region Night League 2025/26. It is a 60 minute orienteering score event in Colden Common where competitors may visit controls in any order to gain points. Controls are SIAC enabled and hired dibbers will be available in the Jenny Gray Room. There is a penalty of 10 points for each minute, or fraction of a minute, over the hour. Bonus points of 10 per minute under the hour are available only if every control has been visited. Everyone must report to Download in the community centre after finishing.

Location, map and practical information

The event centre is Colden Common Community Centre on St Vigor Way, using the smaller Jenny Gray Room. Parking is adjacent to the community centre and the start is adjacent to the centre. The map is 1:5,000 on A3 waterproof paper with 2.5 m contours; the mapped area is mainly housing estates with some parks and small areas of scrubland. No muddy shoes are allowed inside the event centre.

Entry fees are Senior £7.00 with senior chip hire £1.00, Junior £3.00 with no chip hire fee for juniors, and a British Orienteering senior non-member supplement of £2.00. A charge of £32 applies for lost timing chips. Competitors must wear hi-viz tops and carry sufficient lights. Juniors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
