Gravel Rush Run - Winchester

The Gravel Rush Run takes place at the Matterley Estate near Winchester, located within the South Downs National Park. This off-road event features a single-loop course set entirely within a private estate, ensuring participants do not encounter other trail users. The terrain consists of a variety of surfaces, including gravel tracks, grassy paths, dirt trails, and woodland areas.

The course design includes a wide gravel section for the start and finish lines, with elevated grassy banks available for spectators. Participants will navigate a selection of hills and benefit from clear course markings and on-site marshals. The event utilizes chip timing with live results, and finishers receive an exclusive medal and a reusable soft cup for use at water stations.

Participants can choose from the following distances:

  • 10 km: Open to runners aged 16 and over, following the main path for 9 km before returning.
  • 21 km Half Marathon: Open to runners aged 18 and over, featuring a diverse 13 km segment of wooded and gravel trails.

The venue provides on-site catering for participants and spectators. Registration for the event is available online until several days before the race, with the possibility of entry on the day if space permits. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
