Hangers Way 50K : event details
The Hangers Way 50K is a point to point trail ultramarathon organised by BigFeat Events. The route links sections of the Hangers Way and other local trails to form a 50 kilometre course that starts at Alice Holt Country Park, Farnham and finishes at Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Horndean.
The Hangers Way follows steep-sided wooded hills known as the Hangers and passes through woodland, grassland and villages such as Bighton and Selborne. The course is fully signed and runs along sections of the South Downs and local Hampshire countryside.

On the day, runners collect race bibs from the BigFeat HQ tent at the start. Coach transport to the start is available for a fee and parking at the finish is covered for coach users; pay and display applies at Alice Holt. Canicross entries are not accepted.
Mandatory kit and safety: Runners must carry at least 500 ml of fluid. Hydration vests or handheld soft flasks are permitted. Runners are advised to carry appropriate clothing for changeable conditions and to download the GPX route to a watch or mobile device because on-course arrows can be tampered with. A bag drop is provided at the start and bags are transported to the finish. The course has a 9 hour cut-off. There is on-course aid, safety and medical support, photographers and a bespoke finishers medal or an option to have a tree planted instead of a medal.
