Hangers Way 50K

The Hangers Way 50K is a point to point trail run presented as a Gold Award event and returning for a second year. The route links trails along the Hangers Way between Alice Holt Country Park in Farnham and Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield, running along woodland and grassland in the Hampshire countryside and passing villages such as Bighton and Selborne.

The course is fully signed and the organiser recommends downloading the GPX file to a wearable device because markers can be tampered with. Runners must carry at least 500 ml of fluid; hydration vests or handheld soft flasks are permitted. Runners are also advised to wear and carry clothing appropriate for changing weather conditions.

Practical arrangements include a bag drop at the start with transport of bags to the finish, and coach transport to the start is available for a fee. Coach users have parking covered at Queen Elizabeth Country Park; pay and display parking charges apply at Alice Holt Country Park. There is no transport offered from the finish back to the start.

Entry is for the 50K ultramarathon with an entry fee of £64. Canicross entries are not accepted. The event has an overall cut off time of 9 hours and is open to entrants aged 18 and over on the event date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
