Roly's Run is an annual trail running event held in the scenic Meon Valley and South Downs Way, Hampshire, in memory of ultra-runner Rich Walklate (Roly). The 2025 edition offers three distance options: 15.5, 21.5, and 40 miles, featuring challenging ascents of 463m, 712m, and 1266m respectively. The courses form a clockwise loop starting and finishing at Swanmore Village Hall, passing through Beacon Hill, Exton, Meonstoke, and Winchester Hill, with the longer routes extending to East Meon, Ramsdean, and Butser Hill. Approximately 80% trail, the route includes varied terrain with some tricky sections, especially in wet conditions. Fully stocked checkpoints and a welcoming finish with food and hot drinks enhance the event's friendly atmosphere, suitable for both ultra novices and veterans.
