New Forest Stinger 2026

New Forest Stinger is a scenic off-road trail race hosted by Totton Running Club at Ocknell Campsite, Fritham, Lyndhurst SO43 7HH. The event features a 10 mile undulating route, mainly on trail, using a part of the New Forest that is only occasionally open for running events.

Race entry includes an exclusive medal, medical cover, free parking, a goody bag and spot prizes, water stations and toilets. Trophies are awarded to the first three finishers and to age category winners in 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+ groups. The event is run under a Trail Running Association permit and under UK Athletics rules; affiliated entrants must be members of a club affiliated to UK Athletics and state their club.

Numbers are collected on the day from Race HQ. The start line is about 1 km from Race HQ, so participants should allow time to move between the two locations after using facilities. The course is unsuitable for standard wheelchairs, although the start and finish area is access friendly for supporters. Dogs are not permitted on the course.

Organiser conditions include permitted transfers, no deferrals or refunds, and a policy that if the race is cancelled any proceeds after costs will be donated to a local charity. The use of MP3 players is not permitted under UK Athletics rules; bone conduction headphones are permitted. Photograph and video recording by authorised personnel may occur. Participants with COVID-19 symptoms should not attend. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
