Event overview
The New Forest Stinger is an off-road trail race organised by Totton Running Club. For 2025 the event is a single 10 miles route that stays on approved trails and paths to comply with Forestry England conditions. The race is scheduled for Sunday 23 November 2025 and is based at Ocknell Campsite, Fritham, Lyndhurst SO43 7HH. The event will be run under UK Athletics rules on a Trail Running Association permit (permit number to be confirmed). The maximum number of entrants is 250 and the minimum age is 17 years.
Practical information
Entry fees are: affiliated £21 and unattached £23. Included with entry are an exclusive medal, medical cover, free parking, a goody bag, water stations and toilets. Prizes include trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and age-category trophies for 40+, 50+ and 60+ winners. Numbers are collected on the day from race HQ, which opens in the morning, and the start line is about 1 km from race HQ. The course is unsuitable for standard wheelchairs, and dogs are not permitted with runners on the course. Transfers are allowed up to 20 November 2025. No deferrals or refunds; if the race is cancelled any remaining funds after costs will be donated to a local charity. Under event rules, MP3 players and similar devices are not permitted while running the course; bone-conducting headphones are allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
