New Forest Stinger 2026
New Forest Stinger is an off road trail race hosted by Totton Running Club at Ocknell Campsite, Fritham, Lyndhurst SO43 7HH. The event is a 10 mile undulating route, mainly on trail, that uses a part of the New Forest designated for running events.
The entry list is capped at 301 competitors and the minimum age is 17 years. Entries close on 19/11/2026. Entry fees for the 10 mile race are listed as £22.50 for affiliated runners and £24.50 for unattached runners. Transfers are permitted by the organiser.
Entry includes an exclusive medal, medical cover, free parking, a goody bag and spot prizes, water stations and toilets. Trophies are awarded to the top three finishers and to age category winners for 40 plus, 50 plus, 60 plus and 70 plus.
The race is organised under UK Athletics rules on a Trail Running Association permit. Affiliated entrants must be members of a club affiliated to UK Athletics and must state their club name; an individual national membership number is not required. Numbers are collected on the day; participants should allow time to collect them from race headquarters before proceeding to the start line, which is about 1 km from race headquarters.
The course is unsuitable for standard wheelchairs, though the start and finish areas are access friendly for supporters. Dogs are not permitted on the course. Use of MP3 players and similar devices is prohibited under UK Athletics rules; bone conducting headphones are permitted. There are no deferrals or refunds; if the race is cancelled any monies remaining after costs will be donated to the club charity. The organiser notes restrictions from Forestry England regarding hygiene in the forest that affect permit availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
