New Forest Stinger 2026

New Forest Stinger is a trail running event organised by Totton Running Club on 22 November 2026 at Ocknell Campsite, Fritham, Lyndhurst SO43 7HH. The race is a scenic off road route through the New Forest covering 10 miles and is described as undulating and mainly on trail. The start line is located about 1 km from the race headquarters.

Entry is limited to 301 runners. The minimum age is 17 years and entries close on 19/11/2026. Entry fees are listed for affiliated and unattached runners. Race numbers are collected on the day from race headquarters.

The entry fee includes an exclusive medal, medical cover, free parking, a goody bag and spot prizes, water stations and toilets. Trophies are awarded to the first three finishers and to age category winners in 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+ classes. The event is organised under a Trail Running Association permit; the permit number is to be confirmed. Under UK Athletics rules for trail running, affiliated entrants must be members of a club affiliated to UK Athletics and must state the name of their affiliated club.

Course access and rules: dogs are not permitted with runners on course; the course is unsuitable for standard wheelchairs though the start and finish area is access friendly for supporters. MP3 players and similar devices are not permitted on course for safety, with bone conducting headphones allowed. No deferrals or refunds; if the race is cancelled any proceeds after costs will be donated to a local charity. Photographic and video footage may be taken by authorised personnel. Mixed-surface off-road run at Matterley Estate on 27 June 2026, offering 10 km and 21 km routes through gravel tracks, woodland and open paths. The event includes chip timing, an exclusive medal and on site catering.
