New Forest Stinger 2026

The New Forest Stinger is a trail race organised by Totton Running Club on Sunday 22 November 2026 at Ocknell Campsite, Fritham, Lyndhurst SO43 7HH. The event features a scenic off-road route through the New Forest.

The course is mainly trail and described as undulating. The advertised distance is 10 miles. The start line is approximately 1 km from Race HQ, so competitors should allow time to move between the two areas. Numbers are collected on the day at Race HQ, which opens before the race.

Entries are limited to 301 runners and the minimum age to enter is 17 years. The event is held under a Trail Running Association permit and organised in accordance with UK Athletics rules for trail running. Affiliated entrants must be members of a club affiliated to UK Athletics rather than providing an individual national membership number.

Entry fee includes an exclusive medal, medical cover, free parking, a goody bag and spot prizes, water stations, toilets, and trophies for first, second and third places plus age-category trophies for 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+ winners. The course is unsuitable for standard wheelchairs, though the start and finish area is access friendly for supporters. Dogs are not permitted on the course.

Under organiser terms there are no deferrals or refunds; if the race is cancelled any monies remaining after costs will be donated to a local charity. MP3 players are not permitted under UK Athletics rules; bone-conduction headphones are allowed. Photographic and video footage may be taken by authorised personnel for marketing and the club website. Entrants should not attend if they test positive for COVID-19 or display symptoms in the run up to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
