The New Forest Stinger is an off-road trail race organised by Totton Running Club. The 2025 edition is a 10-mile race only, with a route kept to approved trails to comply with Forestry England regulations. The event takes place at Ocknell Campsite, Fritham, Lyndhurst SO43 7HH. The field is limited to 301 entrants and the minimum age is 17 years. Entries close on 20/11/2025. Entry fees are listed as Affiliated £21 and Unattached £23. The race is organised under UK Athletics rules on a Trail Running Association permit (permit number to be confirmed).

Logistics and rules

Entry includes an exclusive medal, medical cover, free parking, a goody bag, water stations, toilets, and trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places plus age-category trophies for 40+, 50+ and 60+. Numbers are collected on the day and the start line is about 1 km from race headquarters. Transfers are permitted up to 20 November 2025; there are no deferrals or refunds. The course is unsuitable for standard wheelchairs, although the start and finish area is access friendly for supporters. Dogs are not permitted on the course. Under UK Athletics rules, standalone MP3 players are not allowed while running; bone-conducting headphones are permitted. Photographic and video footage may be taken by authorised personnel for use by the organiser. If the race is cancelled, any proceeds after costs will be donated to the club charity. Trail runs nearby

Join WRNL 12 in Corfe Mullen for a 60 minute street and park score orienteering event based around the Dorset Soldier pub. SI timing, free parking and pub food on site. Juniors enter free; bring high visibility clothing and a torch.

A single-loop trail event around Queen Elizabeth Country Park with *50 miles*, *50 km* and *20 miles* options, a 6400 ft ascent, UTMB Index status and regular waymarking and aid stations on the South Downs routes.

Two coastal half marathons in Portsmouth and Langstone Harbour on 7 and 8 February 2026. One course may use an optional ferry from Hayling Island, the other runs by the D Day Story Museum in Southsea, and completing both earns a bonus medal..

Run or walk the Purbeck Hill Challenge from Knoll Beach Studland, enjoying the Purbeck Hills and Jurassic Coast with optional orienteering sections. Multiple distances, solo or pairs, self supported and limited to 100 entries.
