Bournemouth Coastal TEN - Bournemouth, Dorset

The Bournemouth Coastal TEN offers two measured road and seafront distances that start from Hengistbury Head nature reserve. The event runs along Bournemouth seafront and includes a section past Boscombe Pier with uninterrupted sea views. On clear days participants may see the Isle of Wight, The Needles, and Old Harry Rocks on the Jurassic Coast.

Available distances

  • 10 Mile route along the Bournemouth seafront, approx +102 m elevation
  • 10K route along the Bournemouth seafront, approx +50 m elevation

The course is largely flat and traffic free and is fully signed using pink arrows and tape. The event uses chip timing and provides water stations, post-race refreshments, a finisher's medal, a certificate, finish line goodies, and an event photographer. First aid cover and course marshals are positioned around the route. The event centre at Hengistbury Head has facilities and hard-standing parking.

Practical notes for participants include on-site bib collection at registration with a QR code, clear display of bibs on the front of clothing, and a plastic free policy so runners should bring a reusable cup or bottle for water stations. Spectators are welcome. The event supports a charity partner for the year 2026 and offers volunteer places that include an event entry and an official t-shirt.
