New Forest Brockenhurst Trail Run
This trail running event takes place near Brockenhurst within the New Forest National Park and uses wide, hard packed gravel paths through woodland and heath. The route passes through ancient forest and heathland where New Forest ponies, horses, donkeys and deer may be seen grazing close to the trails.
The course is described as slightly undulating, with an elevation gain of approximately 183 m over the half marathon distance. Trails are well maintained and have solid underfoot conditions suited to late season running. The route is waymarked using pink arrows and pink tape, and hazards and road junctions are signed with caution notices.
There are three route options:
- 21.6k half marathon
- 16.7k trail run
- 10k trail run
Entries include chip timing, on-course refreshments and water stations, first aid cover, friendly marshals, a personalised certificate, a high quality metal finisher medal and a finisher goodie with a refreshing drink. Participants collect bib numbers on arrival and are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle as the event operates plastic free. Spectators are welcome at the venue.
