New Forest Brockenhurst Trail Run

The event takes place in the New Forest National Park, starting near Roundhill Campsite in Brockenhurst. The course runs through ancient woodland and heathland on wide, hard packed gravel paths and other well maintained trails.

Runners may encounter New Forest ponies, horses, donkeys and deer grazing beside the route. The underfoot is described as solid and suitable in a range of weather conditions, making for smooth, flowing sections with gentle rises and falls.

There are three route choices:

  • 21.6k Half marathon
  • 16.7k Trail run
  • 10k Trail run

The half marathon route has around 180 metres of elevation gain and the course is marked using pink arrows and pink tape; hazards and road junctions are signed with caution markers. Entries include chip timing, a metal finisher medal, a finisher gift, a personalised certificate, on course refreshments, water stations, first aid cover and marshals. A merchandise tent will be available at the event. The organiser operates a plastic free policy and requests reusable cups or bottles for use at water stations.
