Sharlie Shuffle - McCall, ID

The Sharlie Shuffle is a timed loop trail event held in Ponderosa State Park on June 6, 2026, with both in-person and virtual registration options. The event offers two primary timed formats and allows participants to run for varying durations within the event structure.

  • 12-hour timed loop event
  • 6-hour timed loop event

Runners use a clockwise 4.79-mile loop that includes rolling and rocky trails, flat sections, stairs, boardwalks, single-track and some double-track, plus short sections of pavement. Each full loop contains roughly 640 feet of elevation gain. A shorter 2.18-mile loop is available for the final two hours of the event.

The event is organized as a fundraiser; registration fees and additional donations support Ponderosa State Park trails through a Northwest 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Registration fees start at $50 for the 6-hour and 12-hour entries; fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. The event emphasizes low-impact practices such as reusable mugs and minimal single-use paper, and organizers aim to limit waste.

Start and finish are located beside Payette Lake in Ponderosa State Park. Campgrounds at the park are open for the race weekend and can be reserved in advance. Registration closes on June 3, 2026 at 11:59 PM MT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
