Brundage Mountain Summit Cat Track 10K and 5K
The event on July 4, 2026 takes place at Brundage Mountain Resort in McCall, ID and offers mountain running on the Cat Track. Distances offered include:

The 10K route sends runners uphill 3.1 miles to the summit, gaining 1,640 in elevation, with a turnaround at the Bluebird chair lift aid station and a return on the same route. The course provides 360 degree views of Payette Lake and the McCall area, the 7 Devils Mountains, Granite Peak, Slab Butte and the Wallowa Mountain Range of Oregon. Past events included a black bear crossing at the start.
The 5K is a downhill run that begins at the summit after a lift ride to the start and follows the Cat Track for a 3.1 mile descent of 1640". Race entry includes a logo'd Brundage Mountain Cat Track item; 10K entrants receive a lift ticket for race day and 5K entrants receive a lift ride to the starting line.
Event amenities include live music, food and drinks available at Smokey's Bar & Grill and on the plaza, and awards for top finishers. The summit aid station at mile 3.1 for 10K runners will provide cups and gel packets; volunteers will fill bottles or camelbacks using a pitcher.
