Saturn Running - Aberdare
Aberdare, United Kingdom • 15 Mar 2026
Event overview
The Dashing Dog Charity Run is scheduled for March 2026 at Dare Valley Country Park, Aberdare, CF44 7PS. The event is a 7-hour Time Challenge that allows participants to choose how many laps to run. The event raises funds for local dog rehoming charities: a £2.00 surcharge on every race entry goes to those charities, an optional £3.00 doggie pin donation is matched by the organiser (resulting in £6.00 per pin for charities), and 10% of race profits are donated when the entry-only option is chosen.
Course, distances, medals and facilities
- Minimum distance: 3 km (part of a lap)
- Full lap: 7 km (4.37 miles); may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions
- Half marathon: 3 laps
- Marathon: 6 laps
- Ultra: 7 or more laps
- 50 km distance available
The course runs on maintained footpaths around Dare Valley Country Park with views of the surrounding countryside. There are goody bags with a vegan option, an aid/drinks table at the start/finish of each lap, toilets on site, a cafe by race HQ, and free parking. Number pick up is on the day at registration.
