Margam Trail Races - Margam Park East gate

Scheduled for Saturday 14 November 2026, this event is organised by Trail Revolution at Margam Park East gate. Three waymarked trail races run on forest paths and woodland trails across the park.

Distances and elevation

  • 21.1 km - 750 m elevation
  • 10.2 km - 420 m elevation
  • 5.1 km - 140 m elevation

The routes are fully marked with running arrows and flags. A GPS file of each route is provided. Surfaces are forest paths and woodland trails with generally non-technical footing.

Runners must carry specified safety kit including a bottle or reusable cup for checkpoint water, a phone with the race HQ number, suitable headwear, and a waterproof top. Additional recommended items include energy gels or bars and running leggings. In poor weather an extra warm base layer may be required to be carried.

There are checkpoints on each course: three for the half marathon, two for the 10 km, and one for the 5 km. Car parking is provided at the East gate of Margam Park and is included with entry.

Entry fees are listed per distance and include electronic timing, checkpoints, a finishers medal, event safety and first aid cover, free race photographs to download, marked routes and land permits.
