Event Details

The Margam Trail Races 2026 take place at Margam Park. The courses use forest paths and woodland trails.

Race Distances

Participants can choose from three distances:

  • Half Marathon: 21.1 km with 750 m of elevation.
  • 10 km: 10.2 km with 420 m of elevation.
  • 5 km: 5 km with 140 m of elevation.

The routes are fully marked with running arrows and flags. GPS files of the routes are provided.

Facilities and Logistics

Parking is available at the event centre at the East Gate of Margam Park, with the cost included in the entry fee. There are checkpoints with water on each course: three for the half marathon, two for the 10 km, and one for the 5 km. Participants are required to bring a reusable bottle or cup for water. Electronic timing is used. The entry fee also includes a finisher's medal, free downloadable race photographs, an event safety team with first aid cover, and land permits.

Required Kit

Runners must carry specific kit throughout the race, including a phone, suitable headwear, and a waterproof top if the forecast is poor.

Costs
