Vale Coastal Races is the Vale of Glamorgan Ultra and Coastal Races, three trail distances along the Vale of Glamorgan coast in south Wales. The Ultra covers 32.5 miles along the Wales Coast Path from Penarth Pier to Ogmore-by-Sea; the Vale Trail 18.5 (mini Ultra) runs from Porthkerry Park, and the Vale Trail 10 follows the final 10 miles. Runners traverse cliff-top trails, 19 beaches, and sections of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, finishing at Ogmore-by-Sea Village Hall after the Hill of Doom. Navigation is via coast-path signs with extra markers and route notes. The event features checkpoints, transport logistics, drop bags, medals, electronic timing, and race photos.
