The Beacons Ultra, Marathon and Half is a trail running event on Saturday 8 November 2025 in Talybont-on-Usk, Powys, in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons. All races start and finish in Talybont-on-Usk and use mixed terrain including trail, mountain, canal and road. The event takes place in mid-November, when weather and conditions can vary.

Courses and logistics

  • Approximately 49 miles - Ultra, total elevation 2,258 m
  • Approximately 26 miles - Marathon, total elevation 1,319 m
  • Approximately 13 miles - Half Marathon, total elevation 543 m

The Ultra is run as two loops of a roughly 23 mile course with an out-and-back section to Pen y Fan on the first loop. The Marathon uses a single loop of the classic Ultra route with a short ascent of Pen y Fan. The Half Marathon runs east of Talybont-on-Usk and includes Tor y Foel (551 m) and the Talybont reservoir.

Entries opened 1 December 2024 and close 6 November 2025. Minimum age to enter is 18. Entry fees are listed as £80 for the Ultra, £60 for the Marathon and £40 for the Half Marathon.
