Pilgrim 6
Pilgrim 6 is a mountain endurance event held on Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons on 31 October 2026. The course covers 32 km with approximately 1800 m of ascent and includes three ascents of the peak using six different routes, never repeating the same path twice.
Two entry categories are available: the Classic Fell Race (unweighted) and a Weighted Category requiring a 16 kg bergan or day sack. The weighted load is weighed at registration and must include water and food; a bergan is not supplied by the organiser. Minimum age to enter is 16. The published entry fee is £20.
The route will not be marked on the ground. A GPX file and map will be released closer to the event and navigation is the participant's responsibility. GPS devices are permitted. Safety marshals will be positioned at checkpoints and participants must make themselves known at each checkpoint so completion of all three ascents can be confirmed. Participants are asked to stick to main trails and paths.
Notable checkpoints include Pen y Fan Summit, Cribyn Summit, Trig Point 642, and the Story Arms water station. T shirts are available for purchase at registration at a reduced cost. Dogs are strictly not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
