Format and course

The event uses a backyard ultra format with multiple one-hour loops. Key distances:

The route is approximately 50/50 trail and tarmac, with one gradual climb, one short steep section, and otherwise relatively flat terrain. Runners must start each loop at the bell and may not leave the course during a loop except for restrooms. No personal aid is allowed during a loop; common aid stations are provided, including one at HQ. Artificial aids such as trekking poles are not allowed. Supporter rules include no supporters in the starting corral and no phone calls to or from runners on the course except in an emergency. Medics, showers, toilets, photographers, and a pop-up kitchen are provided. Parking at HQ is charged and enters a ballot for a free event.
