Trails & Tarmac Backyard Ultra

Trails & Tarmac 12hr Backyard Ultra : 15 November 2025, Crickhowell (Powys)

This event is organised by Limitless Trails and takes place in Crickhowell, Powys. Entry fee is £75. Minimum age is 17 on the event date. Entries open 22 January 2025 and close 10 November 2025. The race is capped at 12 hours. Food and drinks will be provided at the event, including hot and cold options. Medics, showers and toilets will be available on site. Parking at HQ is charged £5 and includes entry into a ballot for a free future event.

Format and rules

The course is a 4.2 mile loop that is approximately half trail and half tarmac, with one gradual climb and a short steep section; the remainder is relatively flat. The event follows a backyard ultra format: each of the first eleven loops must be completed within an hour to count. The twelfth loop is run as a sprint race to determine the winner; a trophy is awarded to the winner. Timing will be available. Common aid stations are allowed; no personal aid is permitted while on a loop. Artificial aids, including trekking poles, are not permitted. Supporter access to the starting corral is restricted.
