8 Maids a Milking

The 8 Maids a Milking is one day in a 12 Days of Christmas race series, scheduled for 13 December 2026 at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye (what3words: physical.growth.shelf). The event offers on-site and virtual participation options.

Participants choose from multiple distance options on a circuit measured as 2.5 km per lap. Available distances include:

  • 5k (2 laps)
  • 10k
  • Half Marathon
  • Marathon
  • Ultra

Runners and walkers have a seven hour limit to complete their chosen distance. The course is off-road, contained within the grounds of Pengethley Manor, and is described by the organiser as very tough. Each lap includes a hill and a sequence of up-and-down sections that pass through two vineyards.

Race bibs are collected at on-site registration; virtual entrants receive a personalised virtual bib by email. Race and virtual medals are the same type; virtual medals are posted after a verification process, with additional postage charges for international delivery. There is also a free virtual option recorded on the event results via the organiser’s verification process.

Entry fees are listed for in-person and virtual options. Payments are non-refundable; a reduced-cost charity entry is available if fundraising conditions are met. Entrants must be aged 18 or over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
