The course is off road and contained within the grounds of Pengethley Manor. Each lap measures 2.5k and includes a hill that is run on every lap plus a sequence of up and down sections through two vineyards. The organisers describe the route as very tough. The event accepts walkers as well as runners.

Entries can be traditional race entries or virtual. Virtual entries may be completed anywhere and, once verified, receive the same type of medal as on course finishers. Virtual verification can be done via the event Strava club or by submitting proof such as a device screenshot. For international medal posting an additional postage cost applies.

Entry fees are non refundable. Options listed include paid race entry, virtual UK and virtual overseas fees, and a charity entry option at a reduced fee that requires raising a specified minimum sponsorship amount by a set deadline. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
