The Smurf Run is organised by Saturn Too Limited, a franchise partner of Saturn Running, and is scheduled for 22/11/2025 at Dare Valley Country Park, Aberdare, CF44 7PS. The event is run as a 7 hour Time Challenge that allows participants to choose how many laps to complete. Entry at the discounted price of £22.00 is available only to members; members are guaranteed entry and receive a mini-me medal pin at events they attend. Finishers who complete at least one lap receive a themed medal, and distance pins are awarded for half-marathon distance and above.

Course, distances and facilities

The course follows well maintained footpaths around Dare Valley Country Park and includes views of the surrounding countryside. There are 3k and 5k turn points within the lap to help meet UK Athletics age rules. The regular lap length is 4.37 miles (7 km) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. An aid table and drinks table are available at the start/finish of each lap with drinks, savoury and sweet snacks and vegan options. Other facilities include toilets, a nearby cafe, free parking, and a non-secure bag area. Bone conducting headphones only are allowed.
