Run Wild - Louisville
Run Wild is a trail running event held at Turkey Run Park in the Parklands of Floyd Fork on June 21, 2026. The event offers two course options:
- 5 Miles timed race with overall awards.
- 3 Miles fun run that is timed but without awards.
The course is single-track, wooded trail that starts and ends by the Brown Forman Silo. The route includes roots and rocks mostly in the first mile and has an elevation of about 600. If trails are too muddy, the event will use the paved path instead.
Proceeds and additional donations support Second Chances Wildlife Center, a nonprofit that provides environmental education, wildlife rehabilitation, and safe release of injured and orphaned animals. Non-releasable educational animal ambassadors reside at Second Chances and may appear at the event.
Amenities and logistics include a midway water stop, a cup-free policy to encourage reusable cups or bottles, a custom series medal and long sleeve hoodie tech tee for runners, and items available for purchase such as car seat covers and buffs. Door prizes and a photographer will be present. The five-mile race awards overall top three male and female finishers and includes prize certificates. Volunteers provide post-race snacks and Kentucky Hop Water will offer complimentary hop water. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
