Run Wild - Louisville

Run Wild is a trail running event held at Turkey Run Park in Louisville, KY. The event offers two course options that run on single-track, wooded trails. The five-mile course starts and ends by the Brown Forman Silo and includes roots and rocks, mostly on the first mile; elevation is listed as about 600. If trails are too muddy, the course will use the paved path instead.

Proceeds and additional donations benefit Second Chances Wildlife Center, a nonprofit that provides environmental education to the Louisville area, rehabilitates wildlife, and arranges safe release of injured and orphaned animals. Runners receive a custom series medal and a long sleeve hoodie tech tee. Car seat covers will be available for purchase on race day.

Additional event features include a midway water stop, a cup-free policy (participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or water bottle), a photographer on site, snacks provided by Second Chances volunteers, Kentucky Hop Water distributing hop water, and door prize drawings. Participants may have an opportunity to meet one of Second Chances’ non-releasable educational animal ambassadors, which have lifetime sanctuary at the center. Packet pickup is available at Ken Combs Running on the Saturday before the event and on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
