The Crooked Creek Ultra Trail Race takes place at Camp Crooked Creek inside the Harry S. Frazier Scout Reservation in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The 2025 event is scheduled for Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7, 2025. The race area covers about 1,000 acres of rolling hills with hardwoods such as oak, hickory, and beech, and the start-finish area is near the 70-acre John Barr Lake.
Course and logistics
The main loop is a 12.7-mile trail with over 2,300 feet of elevation gain per lap. The course is normally off-limits to the public and is open for the event. Support features for long-distance entrants include a "Pit Road" access point for the 100-mile and 50-mile races, heated shower houses, heated bathrooms, unheated cabins at the camp, and primitive camping areas.
