Falls & Forest 12-Hour Challenge

The Falls & Forest 12-Hour Challenge takes place at Saunder Springs Nature Preserve in Radcliff, Kentucky. Runners have 12 hours on a loop course that passes through shaded forest trails, rocky climbs, creekside paths, and several waterfalls within the preserve.

Participants may enter alone or as part of a team. Distances and formats offered:

  • Solo 12 Hour : 50K
  • Duo 12 Hour : 25K
  • Quad 12 Hour : 100K

The loop combines technical footing with faster runnable sections, so terrain varies from rocky climbs to smoother trail stretches. The event occurs in August and the course runs through dense summer greenery; heat is a potential factor. Aid and support stations are available on each loop to assist participants during their time on course.

Registration opens on February 5, 2026, and closes in late March 2026. The registration fee is listed at $60.00. The event is organized as a full day on the trails where total distance is determined by how many loops each entrant completes within the allotted 12 hours.
