The Falls & Forest 12-Hour Challenge is an endurance running event held at Saunder Springs Nature Preserve in Radcliff, Kentucky. The event offers three participation formats.

Event Format

Participants have 12 hours to cover as many miles as possible on a loop course within the preserve. The course features a variety of terrain, including shaded forest trails, rocky climbs, creekside paths, and waterfalls.

Trail runs nearby

Trail races in Shepherdsville on March 28, 2026 offer 25k, 50k and 5k options across Crooked Creek sections with multiple water and aid stations. Participants receive a race shirt and finisher's medal, with a nine hour cutoff.

Two days of trail racing at Saunders Springs Nature Preserve with mountain bike endurance events on Saturday and 5K, 10K, and 25K trail runs plus a kids race on Sunday; proceeds support local trail organizations.

An overnight team relay at Otter Creek Park (Brandenburg, KY) where teams of two or four rotate through three loops of 3, 5, and 9 miles, with on-site camping, an aid station at the hub, evening music, and night running.

A 31-mile point-to-point endurance run from Downtown Elizabethtown to the Brandenburg waterfront on July 12, 2026, limited to 50 entrants. Entrants must have verified qualifications, a crew vehicle, and wear a reflective safety vest.
